My interest for wedding design started in 2014. Originally motivated by a small budget and a specific vision, I began planning and designing every aspect of my wedding. I quickly found out that this was something I loved and wanted to continue doing after my wedding day was over. To get and idea of my vision and design check out our wedding featured on www.StyleMePretty.com.
I received a BFA in studio art with a concentration in graphic design from Baylor University. After teaching in a school and studio setting for several years, I now have transitioned into freelance design where I specialize in watercolor, hand lettering, and illustration.
WEDDINGS
Working with future brides and grooms to come up with a perfect introduction (the invitation) to their wedding day has been so joyful for me. There is a natural excitement and passion because of what an invitation entails. I have not listed any prices here because each wedding is so different. Every wedding suite is custom and every couple's invitation is unique.
My work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Lemonade and Lenses, Brides of North Texas, & Carats and Cake.
WATERCOLOR
Watercolor has always been one of my favorite mediums to work with. I love how bright and delicate watercolors are and how unpredictable they can be. The Bay Area has some of the most beautiful landscapes and vegetation, so inspiration is not hard to find. You will also find one of three CS Lewis space trilogy books on my nightstand at all times for imagination and color inspiration.
GOOD PAPER
I have designed a handful of cards for this incredible company. Good Paper employs women in the Philippines who have escaped sex trafficking, restoring life for them on so many levels. Our designs are sent to the Philippines where the patterns are printed on locally recycled paper. Each pattern is hand cut, glued together, signed by it's maker, and sent back to the United States. When you buy a card from Good Paper you are helping to change lives.
